About Sharon Falsetto
Sharon Falsetto founded Sedona Aromatherapie LLC in 2007, and she is the sole creative force behind the founding of Sedona Aromatics: The Garden School™. She is a graduate of Penny Price Aromatherapy Academy but has furthered her aromatherapy education with a week-long study trip to France, a hands-on distillation workshop with Ann Harman in Washington state, herbal studies, and master garden studies. She is also a certified reflexologist (UK) and trained briefly in aromatherapy massage in the UK.
Sharon has over a decade’s worth of direct experience in the aromatherapy field, plus over another decade’s worth of experience working within the UK government health care system before moving to the United States in 2006, in addition to a decade’s worth of professional writing and editing experience.
Sharon currently serves on the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy‘s Board as Director Coordinator, she is the regional director for Arizona, and she has been serving as a writer and editor for the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) Journal since 2013, of which she is now the Chief Editor. She presented on the topic of The Healing Garden: The Restoration of the Five Senses at the 2018 NAHA Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sharon has a BA (Hons) degree in business and accounting from the University of Sunderland (UK). She personally authored the Linguistics of Aromatics™ home study aromatherapy program for Sedona Aromatics and she has exclusively managed every aspect of her business, from product making to consulting to writing to editing to teaching, as it transformed in what it has become today, Sedona Aromatics: The Garden School™.
Sharon is the author of Authentic Aromatherapy (New York: Skyhorse Publishing 2014). She also co-edited the book Harvest to Hydrosol by Ann Harman (US: BotANNicals 2015). Sharon has a vast knowledge and experience of aromatherapy business, working as a consultant from international to start-up aromatherapy businesses, and advising from copy writing to creating custom blend product lines.
Aromatic plants and their extracts are a passion for Sharon, not just a way of “earning a living.” She is truly dedicated to her chosen path, treating each student, customer, or client with the same professional attention. Before settling in the United States, she traveled the world and has firsthand knowledge of many places which helps her to connect on a deeper personal level with both US and international students and clients.
About Sedona Aromatics
Sedona Aromatics: The Garden School™ was created from years of learning and experience. It is a unique aromatherapy school in that it is a “working” school: Its founder, Sharon Falsetto, continues to practice aromatherapy as a consultant, writer, editor, and custom blend designer, when called to do so, while also teaching and working in the Sedona Aromatics school and garden.
In addition, the school has an active aromatic garden and botanical workroom (which incorporates a working still and on-site classroom), located on a one-acre homestead property, just outside of Sedona, Arizona.
We hold small workshops and retreats here several times a year for students to visit and learn about aromatic plants and oils, and to create their own aromatherapy blends either in the garden studio or the botanical workroom.
Sedona Aromatics believes in supporting both its own students after completion of an aromatherapy course, and small business startups (whether you completed a course with us or not). The Business Botanicals™ Blocks program was created from many years of helping such students and clients and developing a program to specifically help the small aromatherapy business with consulting, writing, editing, or blending custom products.
If you prefer to study from home, the Linguistics of Aromatics™ Program was created just for you whether you are wanting to learn to use aromatherapy for yourself and your family or wanting to become a professional aromatherapist. For those who like to dabble, a subscription to the Georgie’s Secret Garden™ Club allows you to learn about plants, oils, and more through informal learning such as articles, videos, short courses, and you will receive our exclusive
Sedona Aromatics is owned and operated by our parent company Sedona Aromatherapie LLC, which has been in business for over a decade, so you can be sure of excellent customer service, knowledge, and products, whichever path you may choose to take with us!
Personal visits to the garden studio, gardens, and botanical workroom, are by appointment only and depend on season and work/class schedule. Please call ahead to arrange a visit if you are in Sedona!
