– Dedicated with thanks to the firefighters and all other personnel and volunteers who fought to save the beauty of Oak Creek Canyon from devastating fire.
A

s I start to write this half year review post, I am reflecting on the huge devastation to hit Sedona this past week. At the time of writing (I write my posts a couple of weeks in advance), over16,000 acres of forest – predominantly Ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa) – are burning in nearby Oak Creek Canyon. Many other plants, trees, and flowers will be lost before the fire is contained.
This event reinforces the fact that our resources for essential oils and other herbal products are both fragile and in limited supply, given both human and natural influence. We all have a duty to use those resources wisely. With this in mind, here’s a look back on what has been happening in the first half of 2014 at Sedona Aromatherapie.
Publication of Authentic Aromatherapy

My book, Authentic Aromatherapy, was officially published in January 2014! Autographed copies of the book are available directly from the Sedona Aromatherapie website – or you can pick up unsigned copies at a variety of places, including Amazon.com, Barnes and Nobles, and various independent booksellers.
Authentic Aromatherapy has been described as “a mini course in aromatherapy” (by an Amazon.com reviewer) which I think is a pretty apt description!
Thank you to everyone who has purchased a copy of the book – I hope it brings you lots of interesting and useful information on how to use essential oils both safely and wisely.
Certification Course in Professional Aromatherapy
This course has been a huge work-in-progress! I started writing this course last year (in between writing my book, Authentic Aromatherapy). The final version will consist of ten modules with several hundred pages of text, illustrations, and photos. As the title suggests, the Sedona Aromatherapie Certification in Professional Aromatherapy is for the serious aromatherapist who wants to gain the professional knowledge required to practice as an aromatherapist. However, it is also suitable for those simply wishing to have a very comprehensive overview of the subject matter.
Latest updates are posted on the website – and in the Sedona Aromatherapie newsletter. At the time of writing, I anticipate that this course should be live by Fall 2014.
Sedona Aromatherapie Professional Logo

Some of you may have noticed a new logo appearing on invoices and course literature in recent months. The final version of the Sedona Aromatherapie brand logo is now completed and will be displayed on the website by the end of the year. In the meantime, you’ll probably begin to see it more and more in use in other literature!
The Sedona Aromatherapie logo reflects the colors of the website and branding of Sedona Aromatherapie – with a simple flower to the left of the logo. I hope that it will be enjoyed by students and customers for years to come!
Other Projects at Sedona Aromatherapie
As always, there are several future projects in the pipeline, in addition to ongoing sales, orders, and courses! I will hopefully have more updates on some of those areas in the Sedona Aromatherapie End of Year Review 2014.
In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about any of Sedona Aromatherapie‘s products and services. I thank each and every one of you for your support and custom in the past six months!
Have a fulfilling summer – and hope to see you in the Fall with the launch of the Certification in Professional Aromatherapy Program!
