About Our Perfumery

Is Your Perfume Really Making You Feel as Good as It’s Supposed To?

For years, I had no idea that the fragrance I was wearing could be connected to the headaches and nausea I was experiencing. Perfume was supposed to be something beautiful. Something that made you feel polished, confident, and more like yourself.

Instead, I often felt worse after wearing it.

It wasn’t until I began working with essential oils through aromatherapy that I started paying closer attention to how scent affected me—and began exploring another way to experience fragrance. That curiosity eventually led me to natural perfumery.

At first, I experimented with making “perfumes” using what I already knew from aromatherapy. But I quickly realized that creating a true botanical perfume was something entirely different.

It wasn’t simply about blending ingredients that smelled good together. It was about learning how a fragrance unfolds.

How one note leads into another. How scent can create mood, memory, character, and story. And how botanical materials can become something beautiful enough to wear simply because you love the way they make you feel.

Once I learned how to create natural perfumes professionally, everything came together: My background in aromatherapy, my fascination with plants, my love of fragrance, and my creative instinct for storytelling.

And I knew I wanted to share that world with other people.

Today, I create botanical perfumes for people who want a more intimate, thoughtful relationship with fragrance—and I teach aspiring perfumers how to turn their own love of scent into something they can create, share, and even build a business around.

Because perfume doesn’t have to overpower a room to make an impression.

It can be personal. It can be expressive. It can tell a story.

And yes—you can smell beautiful without your fragrance being so overpowering that it irritates the whole room.

Subtle, not saturated.

Our Vision

At Sedona Aromatics, we create high-quality natural and botanical perfumes and fragrances inspired by the principles of both perfumery and aromatherapy.

Our goal is to empower people to develop a deeper understanding of botanicals and their role in natural perfumery, while recognizing how this approach differs from conventional synthetic fragrance.

But natural perfumery isn’t just about science.

It is also about creativity, artistry, emotion, and storytelling.

We create fragrances that tell stories—grounded in aromatherapy knowledge, but designed to encourage curiosity, imagination, and creative expression.

We believe aromatherapists can merge creative natural fragrance with science-backed aromatherapy principles. We also believe natural perfumers can benefit from incorporating aromatherapy principles into their work.

By bringing these two worlds together, we can create fragrances that are not only beautiful to wear, but thoughtful, intentional, and deeply connected to the botanical materials from which they are made.
