$225.00

This mentorship attempts to help you:

  • understand how the FDA (in the United States) defines an aromatherapy product.
  • how you need to label your aromatherapy product to stay within FDA, GMP, and FTC guidelines (FTC was not applicable before 2022 but is now also applicable to aromatherapy).
  • how to stay on top of guideline changes.
  • how to list your aromatherapy product on your website, social media, and what claims you can and cannot make.
  • understand what INCI is and how to create a INCI-compliant description for your product.
  • brainstorm names and descriptions for your aromatherapy product line to stay within the guidelines.

Aromatherapy Product Compliance Sessions must be completed within six months of purchase or your fee is forfeited. If paying by payment plan, your final payment must be completed before our final session. Failure to complete a payment plan forfeits all payments to date and are not refundable.

Each aromatherapy product compliance mentorship consists of three zoom sessions of approximately one hour each.  Once you purchase your mentorship, a mutually agreed calendar of sessions will be scheduled between us.

All Sedona Aromatics’ students and graduates (in good standing) qualify for a 20% discount on this program! Contact us for the discount code before purchasing!

All sessions are conducted via zoom.

Description

Our aromatherapy product compliance mentorship is designed as an add-on to our certificate in professional aromatherapy or certificate in community aromatherapy programs but anyone with a basic background in aromatherapy business can benefit from it. It is also suitable for any plant-focused graduate or professional looking to start a micro or small business product line in the botanical field. This might be in the business of aromatherapy, herbalism, herb garden, botanical perfumery and more.

Many aromatherapy programs teach you how to be an aromatherapist but some don't offer in-depth business advice on how to successfully (and correctly) create a product line. Although our certificate in professional aromatherapy has an in-depth business module as part of the program, we are now offering an additional aromatherapy product compliance mentorship to both our own students and graduates (who qualify for a 20% discount) and other aromatherapy schools' students and graduates who feel like they may benefit from the mentorship. All mentorships are personally conducted by Sharon Falsetto Chapman, with exclusive one-on-one time scheduled to go over your own specific needs after initial instruction.

Sharon Falsetto Chapman has nearly two decades worth of experience in running her own micro business, with many curveballs along the way! She is also a graduate with a BA (Hons) degree in Business and Accounting from the University of Sunderland in the UK. Over the years, she has accumulated a wealth of knowledge working one-on-one work with former aromatherapy business clients. Sharon has published a book and is chief editor for the NAHA Aromatherapy Journal.
