Immersion Group Study Program Aromatherapy Certificate
Certificate in Holistic Aromatherapy (Modules 1 to 8)
Be part of our inaugural immersion group study aromatherapy certificate!
This NEW option for study includes the following:
- A copy of the PDF workbooks (as included in our individual Certificate in Holistic Aromatherapy option)
- Live (via zoom) blending sessions for each of the required projects in the course
- A review of modules and a monthly check-in for Q&A with your class tutor
- A final class meeting
If you then want to go on to do the certification to meet NAHA level 1 membership requirements (which is an additional cost), we can formulate an individual or group study plan with you and/or your class members.
The Immersion Group Study Program Aromatherapy Certificate gives you exclusive access to one of the industry’s leading aromatherapists, Sharon Falsetto, through live interaction via zoom, as well as interaction with other students. This option of study has not been offered before through Sedona Aromatics!
As this is a group option, there is a set start and end time for this inaugural course. We are offering two start dates for 2022. Each class size is limited to 10 students. We need a minimum of 5 students for each class, otherwise, the class will convert to a Virtual Aromatherapy Mentorship Program.
The Spring Course is now CLOSED for Enrollment.

All live class sessions are via Zoom. You will need to download Zoom (for free) on your computer, Mac, iPad, or tablet to join the class. All times are local time in Arizona. Live class sessions give you the opportunity to ask questions, review modules, and work through module projects together. Live sessions are designed to be interactive and to expand on the written course material vs teaching the same material. So, it is helpful if you've completed and/or reviewed relevant modules prior to each session.
You will need to have purchased all supplies for the course before the start date. You can purchase our aromatherapy student kit or use your own supplies. A checklist is available on the student kit page of what you will need.
If you purchase our aromatherapy student kit, please order well in advance of the first class, and no later then October 7, 2022, for the Fall Course.
Once you have enrolled in the course, you will get access to the link for the first class. If you can’t make a class live, a recording will be available after that class for 30 days (possibly longer if needed). You will be expected to catch up on any recording before the next live class date. Please make sure that you can meet these requirements before enrolling.
You will work through relevant course modules and complete assignments for that module before the next class meeting. Assignments will be emailed to your tutor for marking. Module projects will be completed together in class, except for the final module 8 project which will be completed on your own and submitted for review. You will receive a certificate of completion once all assignments, projects, and coursework have been successfully completed.
If you find that you are falling behind with coursework, contact your tutor, and don’t give up! You can still attend class sessions and we can formulate a backup plan for you.
Expect to dedicate approximately 5 hours of work per module (excluding live class sessions).
Description of the Certificate in Holistic Aromatherapy
The Certificate in Holistic Aromatherapy course is both a beginner aromatherapy course and a course for those looking to seek level 1 certification as outlined by the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA). It is an extremely comprehensive course, covering all aspects of aromatherapy (including practical) for the safe and effective use of essential oils at home and for family use. It is a stand-alone course from the Certificate in Professional Aromatherapy which is more in-depth with college-type essay-style assignments to complete.
A Combo Package is also available which includes: Aromatherapy Beginner Kit, Certificate in Holistic Aromatherapy Modules 1 -8, and the Module 9 Assessment. Check out the Combo Package Here.
The Certificate in Holistic Aromatherapy course is for:
- budding family aromatherapists
- aromatherapy dabblers
- aromatherapy enthusiasts
- those who wish to pursue a professional path in aromatherapy but are unsure of committing to a more extensive course at the moment
- stay-at-home parents
- budding homesteaders looking for a more “natural” way for health care
- budding aromapreneurs wishing to start an aromatherapy product business
- healthcare professionals who want to understand the basics of aromatherapy
No prior experience is needed to take the Certificate in Holistic Aromatherapy course. The course is divided into eight modules with a total of thirty lessons. At the end of each lesson, there is a table or short answer question to complete. At the end of each module, there is a practical project to complete. As this is an introductory course, there are no essays or reading assignments to complete. However, it is required that you purchase Authentic Aromatherapy by Sharon Falsetto to complete some of the assignments. The aim of the Certificate in Holistic Aromatherapy course is to make learning fun - but to also obtain a comprehensive education in aromatherapy while doing so!
You can see the full content of the course below. As a special note, Module Eight (see below) is an introduction to business issues with regard to labeling, language, ethics, and scope of practice. This module sets you up for further study or gives you enough information to understand what to look out for when buying your own aromatherapy products, even if you don't intend to sell your own products.
If you want to take the certificate to meet the requirements of NAHA Level 1 Certified Aromatherapist®, you will also need to complete Module Nine (available for purchase separately). This is an assessment module that requires the successful completion of five case studies (over a minimum period of three months), a five to ten-page research paper on aromatherapy, and a multi-choice exam.
The course is fully supported by one-on-one tutoring and mentoring from experienced, UK-certified aromatherapist and published author and editor, Sharon Falsetto, and access to a student-only Facebook group.
Please Note: You will need supplies to complete this course. The price quoted is for course tuition only. An aromatherapy kit that supports the course is available. You are advised to purchase this kit if you have no experience with aromatherapy and no aromatherapy supplies. If you prefer to purchase your own supplies, check out the kit content to find out what you need to complete the course.
If you intend to study for level 1 certification level, you will need to also complete the final assessment module for this course, Module 9, which is available for purchase separately.
If you are studying for your own use, and don't require the level 1 certification, you just need to complete modules 1 to 8 (as listed below). Remember, if you want to receive a certificate of completion for this part of the course, you'll need to complete all assignments and practical projects for modules 1 to 8.
